Emirates Group Reports Record-Breaking Profits in First Half of 2024-2025

The Emirates Group has achieved its best-ever half-year financial performance, posting a profit before tax of AED 10.4 billion (USD 2.83 billion) for the first six months of the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This remarkable achievement underscores the strength of the group’s business model and Dubai’s growing prominence as a global hub.

During this period, Emirates expanded its network to 148 airports in 80 countries, launching new routes and restarting services to various destinations. The airline also formed new codeshare and interline agreements with several carriers, enhancing its global reach.

Investments in Customer Experience and Infrastructure

Emirates has committed to significant investments to enhance its products and services. A USD 4 billion retrofit program is underway, with cabin refurbishments completed for eight aircraft in the first half of the fiscal year. The airline also invested AED 44 million in new and refurbished airport lounges to improve the ground experience for passengers.

Positive Outlook and Capacity Expansion Plans

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, expressed optimism about continued strong customer demand. The group plans to increase capacity through fleet expansion and new facilities at dnata, its subsidiary. Despite the positive outlook, Sheikh Ahmed emphasized the importance of remaining agile in a dynamic marketplace.
