Description:
The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has announced the final countdown for visa violators to regularize their status or leave the country without penalties. With only 24 days left until the October 31 deadline, authorities are urging violators to take advantage of this grace period to avoid legal consequences and potential bans on re-entry.
Final Call for Violators
The amnesty period allows individuals in violation of residency laws to either depart the UAE without facing fines or obtain legal employment and residency. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority, emphasized that no extension will be granted beyond the October 31 deadline. He urged violators to seize this opportunity to rectify their status or safely exit the country.
Intensified Inspections and Legal Action
Following the expiration of the grace period, authorities will launch intensified inspection campaigns across the UAE. Major General Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, confirmed that strict legal measures will be enforced against violators and companies employing them illegally. Violators risk facing re-imposed fines and potential bans, while company owners found harboring illegal workers will be summoned to court. The authority is working closely with government partners, the private sector, and embassies to address challenges and ensure a transparent process for status adjustment.
